Hagelstena is the home of Grand Prix dressage rider and trainer Magdalena Skatt and her family. The estate is beautifully situated between Stockholm and the charming university town of Uppsala.

Since over twenty years the dominating feature of Hagelstena is the Hagelstena Stable. It has become an attractive dressage center for ambitious riders, many of whom train to become top performers.

The stable guests represent a wide array of competence within equitation. Many can pride themselves on impressive records of competing at high level dressage. Also, the Hagelstena Stable hosts trainers and dressage judges up to Grand Prix level, veterinarians, horse physiotherapists and many other dedicated horse and riding professionals and enthusiasts.

The Hagelstena Stable has room for 27 horses and offers all facilities that are needed for horses, riders and visitors. There is a 20 x 60 meter indoor riding arena, an outdoor arena of the same size and a horse walker. A large number of fenced fields are used for the horses to spend 5-6 hours outside every day.

The history of the Hagelstena estate goes back to the mid 1700s when the world renowned scientists Carl von Linne´and Johan Gottschalk Wallerius made agricultural and geological experiments on the premises. The estate is well kept since then. To this day it shows marks of its interesting past, both in architecture and in the shaping of the surrounding nature.
